The clients had lived in their home for over 25 years and loved their neighbourhood, so instead of moving, they decided to completely refurbish and extend their home. They obtained planning permission for a basement and kitchen extension via their architect, before getting us involved. We redesigned the whole interior and garden. The work included the creation of three en-suite bedrooms, a first-floor utility room, and a TV snug, wet room and “workshop,” at basement level.
The original two living rooms were opened up into one large and airy room with bespoke joinery. The original stone fire place was renovated and painted over, whilst the old large double doors that connected the two living rooms were refurbished and made into pocket sliding doors connecting the hallway with the living room.
